Cancellation Policy
When plans change.
Effective 29 June 2026
Expeditions take months of planning, careful sequencing, and reserved capacity in remote places. This policy explains how cancellations are handled — by guests, by All Latitude, and by the world around us.
Why This Policy Exists
Costs in remote regions are committed long before departure: guide retainers, vehicles, vessels, lodges, permits, and reserved capacity in places that cannot easily be refilled. This policy keeps that planning sustainable while remaining as fair as possible when life intervenes.
Guest Cancellations
If you need to cancel, written notice must be sent to alllatitude@protonmail.com. Refunds are calculated from the date the notice is received:
- More than [X] days before departure — [refund %] refund.
- [X–Y] days before departure — [refund %] refund.
- Fewer than [Y] days before departure — no refund.
Operator Cancellations
If All Latitude cancels an expedition for any reason within its control, guests will be offered a full refund of monies paid to All Latitude, a transfer to a future departure, or a future credit of equal value. All Latitude is not responsible for costs not paid directly to it, such as flights or independent accommodation.
Force Majeure
In the event of circumstances beyond reasonable control — including natural events, civil unrest, public health restrictions, or border closures — All Latitude will work in good faith with each guest to find the best possible outcome, typically through a transfer or future credit.
Weather Delays
Wild places do not run on schedule. Where weather causes part of an expedition to be delayed or rerouted, the team will adjust to deliver an equivalent experience. Weather-related changes do not normally entitle guests to a refund.
Refund Process
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within [number of days] business days. Bank processing times may add additional days.
Transfer to Another Departure
Where availability allows, a guest may transfer their booking to another departure once at no extra fee, provided notice is given at least [X] days before the original departure. Price differences between departures will be settled before the new place is confirmed.
Future Credit
Future credit may be offered in place of a refund. Credit is valid for [X] months from the date of issue and is transferable to a direct family member.
Waiting List
Where an expedition is full, guests may join a waiting list. If a place becomes available, the next guest on the list will be offered the booking with a defined window in which to confirm.
Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance with cancellation cover is strongly recommended for every booking. Most cancellation-related losses outside the scope of this policy can be claimed through proper insurance — please read the Travel Insurance page before booking.
