Expedition Planning
Plan your own expedition. Get advice from someone who's been there.
Not every adventure needs to be a guided trip. Sometimes you need an experienced perspective to help you plan your own. Get practical, personal advice on destinations, routes, conditions, preparation and logistics from someone who has worked in the environments you're hoping to explore.
§ 01 — The service
A little experience can change the whole journey.
You might already have a destination in mind. You might be comparing routes, or simply trying to work out what is realistic for the time and experience you have. These are the areas where advice may be available — every enquiry is different, and not every question can be answered, but most expeditions improve with an hour of the right conversation.

Local operators and guides
Understanding when specialist local expertise or a qualified local operator is needed — and when it isn't.
§ 02 — The consultation
One-to-one Expedition Consultation
A focused conversation about the expedition you're planning. Bring your destination ideas, proposed itinerary, questions or uncertainties. We'll work through the practical considerations and identify the next steps to help you plan with greater confidence.
This is an initial service offering. Every enquiry is reviewed personally, and payment is only arranged once suitability, scope and availability are confirmed — there is no automated checkout.
What's included
- One 60-minute online consultation.
- A brief review of the information you supply in advance.
- Practical verbal advice tailored to your enquiry.
- A concise follow-up summary of the key points discussed, sent by email.
§ 03 — Worth knowing
What the consultation does — and doesn't — include
The consultation provides advice and planning guidance. It does not automatically include:
- Booking or purchasing flights, accommodation, transport or activities.
- Making reservations or acting as a travel agent.
- Providing professional medical, legal or specialist technical advice.
- Guaranteeing access, weather, wildlife sightings, safety or the availability of any route or service.
§ 04 — Enquire
Tell me what you're planning
A few lines are enough — where you're thinking of going, when, and what you're unsure about. Every enquiry is read personally, and I'll reply to confirm whether a consultation is the right fit before anything is arranged.
