Plain language. Honest terms.

1. Booking & payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. Until payment is received, your booking is not confirmed.
2. Cancellation by you
- More than 90 days before departure: 90% refund.
- 60–90 days: 50% refund.
- Less than 60 days: no refund. We strongly recommend cancellation insurance.
3. Cancellation by us
If we cancel an expedition for any reason within our control, you receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future trip. We are not liable for costs incurred in connection with the trip (e.g. flights) — please buy insurance.
4. Assumption of risk
Adventure travel involves inherent risks including but not limited to: cold-water immersion, glacier travel, wildlife encounters, altitude, remote terrain, and weather. By participating you acknowledge these risks and accept responsibility for your own decisions.
5. Insurance
Comprehensive travel and medical insurance, including emergency evacuation, is mandatory. You must provide policy details before departure.
6. Code of conduct
Travelers are expected to treat fellow guests, local people, and wildlife with respect. James reserves the right to remove anyone whose behaviour endangers others or the experience, without refund.
7. Governing law
